The Aprilia SR 160 has been launched with a new high performance 160 cc single-cylinder engine that is now fuel-injected in order to meet the upcoming stringent emission norms. With the new powertrain, the Aprilia SR 150 has been replaced by the SR 160, which now starts from Rs 104,000 and is about Rs 19,000 more expensive than the BS4 version. The 160 scooters get a 160 cc single-cylinder, 3-valve engine, making 10.7 bhp at 7,600 rpm and peak torque of 11.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Visually, there are no changes to the models and the scooters continue to get distinctive styling. There aren't new graphics or decals either, which we do think is an opportunity missed in refreshing the scooters for the new model year.
